Preview :

The women’s final sees home favourite and top seed Welily, unbeaten in her four matches to date, up against France’s Serme, who battled past the in-form Nouran Gohar in the semi-finals.

They met in the Group matches with Welily prevailing 2-1, making it 6 mins in a row and a PSA career H2H of 16-3 since 2010. Their rivalry goes back further than that of course, they contested the World Junior Final in 2007!

The men’s final is also a repeat of a Group match, in which Abouelghar won 2-0 to top the group and eliminate top seed Ali Farag. Gawad, meanwhile, eliminated defending champion Mohamed ElShorbagy in the semifinals.

Gawad leads the PSA H2H 7-5, but Abouelghar has won the last three.
