Elsewhere, the battle for the remaining top eight spots in the Women’s Standings is heating up, with Satomi Watanabe’s runner-up finish at the Palm Hills Open seeing her climb four spots to sit in 7th place.
With just 1,300 points separating Tinne Gilis in 6th position and Amanda Sobhy in 10th spot, the pressure is on ahead of the upcoming GillenMarkets British Open, where all five players (Gilis, Watanabe, Sivasangari Subramaniam, Georgina Kennedy and Sobhy) will be featuring.
To qualify for the event, players must win a prestigious Diamond title, whilst the reigning World Champions – Nour El Sherbini and Mostafa Asal – also qualify automatically. Any remaining places are allocated to the players who fill out the top eight spots in the Road to Tour Finals standings, with points on offer at all PSA World Events during the season.
The SmartCentres PSA Squash Tour Finals 2024-25 will be held in Canada for the first time in the event’s history when SmartCentres’ Revival Film Studios in Toronto hosts the world’s leading squash players for five days, between June 23-27, 2025. Live action from the SmartCentres PSA Squash Tour Finals will be streamed via SQUASHTV, while the semi-finals and finals will be shown by the PSA’s broadcast partners.
