Egypt’s Marwan ElShorbagy has withdrawn from the upcoming CIB PSA World Tour Finals due to injury.
The World No.6 will be replaced by his fellow countryman Tarek Momen for the final event of the season.
ElShorbagy’s injury ends his 2022/23 campaign, where he clinched the Hong Kong Football Club Open in December and was runner-up in five finals, including the J.P Morgan Tournament of Champions.
Momen, who had just missed out on qualification for the World Tour Finals having finished ninth in the Road to Egypt Standings, will now step in as the No.8 seed, with Victor Crouin moving up to No.7 seed and Mazen Hesham elevates to the No.6 seed, with the latter now in Group A with Momen in Group B.
