[1] Nour El Sherbini (EGY) 2-0 [3] Nouran Gohar (EGY) 11-6, 11-7 (22m)
I remember a match in the DPD Open, in Holland, where Tesni Evans couldn’t do much against the Princess and commented “she is having a laugh” as Nour was stringing nicks and volley nicks from all over the court.
It’s not that Nouran didn’t fight, or made errors. It was an error free game really, one error in the first game, two in the second for Nour, only one in the second for Nouran.
No, from 5/5 in the first game, it was all about Nour’s skills, 10m game, 11/6, and the second saw Nour zooming up to 9/4, taking it 11/7 in another 10m game…
Who is going to stop Nour? I feel the two Nours are going to be the ones to beat this week. But what do I know…
Nour
“It feels great after playing two very tough rounds after each other.”
“Nouran has been playing really well over the last reason as you can see from her results.
Now she’s come back as World No.1 after the lockdown, so I’m very happy with my performance and I’m really glad that I won 2-0.
