[4] Camille Serme (FRA) [2] Nour El Tayeb (EGY) 11-8, 11-5 (24m)
The French Panthère will be delighted with that victory as she hadn’t beaten CatWoman Nour El Tayeb since 2017! Add to that the Egyptian took away the Manchester title last week, 3/1… Sweet revenge, time 2….
Well, going to be a very short report. With all the respect owed to Camille, Nour never showed up. “No, she is not injured, but she seemed not on the court” commented the Egyptian Clan.
And that’s exactly my feeling too. She looked out of focus, playing constantly a crosscourt game that open the court wide and offered the ball on the French woman lethal racquet. Camille, delighted, had all the time in the world to find her trademark shots, and she played a lot of them.
More and more frustrated as Cam grew on control, the Egyptian never looked comfortable on there tonight.
Camille
“Yesterday was a pretty tough match, so today I wanted to stick to my tactical plan and I think my coach will be happy at home.
“I didn’t do much wrong tonight, I think, and I stuck to that plan, so I’m really happy about it.
“I will prepare for my match against Amanda like I did for the other ones. I’ll have a good recovery with the physio now and will have a chat with my coach tonight and we’ll prepare for the match tomorrow with some video analysis. Then I’ll rest and get ready.”
