We have reached the final day of the group stages at the CIB PSA World Tour Finals, where the remaining places in the semi-finals will be confirmed.
Taking place at Cairo’s Mall of Arabia, the CIB PSA World Tour Finals features the top eight male and female players on the CIB Road to Egypt Standings, with points on offer at all PSA World Tour events throughout the 2020-21 season. The group stage uses a round robin, best-of-three games format as players bid to qualify for the knockout stages.
World No.1 Nour El Sherbini will just need a win of any scoreline to secure her place in the last four along with Nouran Gohar in Group A. If she fails to win then France’s Camille Serme will be through to the semi-finals.
Mostafa Asal also requires a victory to see him through, a win of any kind would see him top Group A and progress alongside Mohamed ElShorbagy. However, if Ali Farag wins there match then Marwan ElShorbagy will go through in second place.
Joelle King and Hania El Hammamy will battle it out for top place in their match in Group B, with both players already qualified. While both Amanda Sobhy and Sarah-Jane Perry will look to get their first wins of the tournament.
It all comes down to tonight’s matches for the men’s Group B with no player yet qualified for the last four and an exciting night in store.
You can catch all the action live from the Mall of Arabia in Cairo on SquashTV, and the official Facebook page of the PSA World Tour (excluding Europe and Japan).
