The opening match of the day pits Japanese No.1 Satomi Watanabe against Egyptian rising star Fayrouz Aboelkheir, before Joel Makin and Youssef Soliman contest the first men’s match.
Mostafa Asal, a three-time winner of this event previously, kicks off his campaign against Marwan ElShorbagy in the afternoon, while defending women’s champion Nouran Gohar locks horns with Amanda Sobhy.
